FAQs

This section contains the most common questions regarding our forum including our forum rules as well as a few simple definitions and explanations.

What topics are discussed in the forum?

This forum serves as a meeting place where current and potential customers as well as Cubeware partners and employees can discuss a wide range of topics related to our company, products and solutions. Users profit from the knowledge of fellow users and can directly exchange tips and tricks with Cubeware experts.

In general, you can talk about anything – as long as it doesn’t offend others or violate proper conduct or good taste. The administrators and moderators monitor this forum to ensure that all parties follow the rules and have the right to remove entries or user rights without prior notice.

Why does it make sense to use the search function?

Many common problems and questions have already been covered in the forum. Before you create a new entry, please use the search function to see if someone else has already provided answers to your particular concern.

What is allowed?

Basically, you can start a thread on any topic. Please just use your common sense and be careful that you don’t publish any comments that are hurtful or show poor taste. For more information, please refer to the forum rules.

Forum rules

Can I be banned from the forum?

If someone repeatedly violates the rules of the forum, he or she will lose all access rights. Please refer to the Cubeware forum rules above for more information. If you notice that someone isn’t behaving properly, please don’t hesitate to inform us at infocenter@cubeware.de

Which responsibilities do administrators and moderators have?

Administrators have the right to remove users. Moderators are Cubeware employees who serve as the main point of contact for a certain topic. They can move and delete threads or inform the administrator if someone is not playing by the rules.

What is a thread?

A thread is a chapter or subcategory of a particular forum. When you enter the Cubeware Forum, you first choose one the different forums (broken down by themes and user groups). Once you have chosen a forum, you can view the individual threads (subtopics) which contain the posts (entries) of different members.

What is a post?

Posts are the individual entries of members. These can either be questions and comments to a given thread (subtopic) or answers to the questions of others.

How can I create a post?

To create a post, you first have to register for the forum. As soon as you have registered, you can log in and create new entries. You can also use your forum login and password to access other appropriate sections of the Cubeware Info Center.

What are smileys?

Smileys add a certain expression to your message. For example, you can emphasize positive feedback by adding a smiley with a happy face. You can access various smileys on the left corner of each text box. If you choose to use smileys, please do so in a reasonable manner. A post that only contains smileys, for example, doesn’t make much sense!

What are file attachments?

In every post you have the option to add various attachments. The Cubeware Forum only accepts PDF files (.pdf) or images in .gif, .jpeg, .jpg. or .png formats. Other attachments will not be accepted.

Does the forum have a news service?

If you are particularly interested in a certain forum or thread, you can sign up to automatically receive new posts by e-mail. Simply go to the envelope symbol located at the bottom of the respective page and activate the ‘On’ link. The news service has been activated if the envelope is displayed in color instead of black and white.

Where do I log in?

Please register on the ‘Home’ page of the forum using your Cubeware Info Center login information. If you are not registered yet, please click on the ‘Register’ link.

How do I upload my profile photo?

If you are already logged on, the easiest way to upload your photo is to click on the ‘My profile’ link. If you now select the ‘Browse’ button on your right-hand side, you can choose an appropriate image from your computer and then click the ‘Upload’ button. Please note the guidelines for file types and maximum image sizes.

Which images can I use?

Whenever you upload a picture onto the Internet, you must ensure that all parties shown on the picture give their consent. Since third parties have the right to their privacy and placing a picture of someone else on your forum profile makes no sense anyway, we ask that you only use photos of yourself. We reserve the right to remove improper images such as nude poses. Whoever publishes images that violate proper conduct or good taste will be banned from our forum. In the case of serious violations, we will also contact the police.

What is a PM?

A PM is a private message which only the recipient can read. These are sent to your inbox – just like an e-mail. We do not read any PMs.

How can I block PMs?

Simply go into ‘My profile’ and remove the check box next to ‘Do you wish to receive private messages from other members?”
